3D Crest White Strips

I was surprised when Influenster.com sent me a box of Crest 3d White professional white strips advance seal!

So far so good, my teeth are noticeably whiter. They stick to my teeth very well with the advance seal technology.

The downside to strips are that my teeth gets extremely sensitive the next day ! I have to use sensodyne toothpaste to ease the pain.

Drugstore Gel Liner Battle

Gel liners are my favorite eyeliners this year. I've been using Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama ($7.99) for the past couple of months. I like it but recently stumbled upon L’OrĂ©al Paris Infallible Never Fail Lacquer Liner 24H in Blackest Black ($9.95). Loreal's beat out Maybelline's by far.

There were many times when Maybellines smeared and also wasn't as dark as I like my eyeliner to be.

Look & Feel -

Maybelline's application is smooth but just not as smooth as Loreal's fluidity Which draws on nicely and dries much faster. Loreal's also has a semi glossy finish while Maybelline is more matte which turns charcoal.

Maybelline's

Loreal's (excuse my extreme usage mess)

Brush - Loreals brush has a more flat tip while Maybelline's was pointy. Lining with a flat tip brush is so much easier than pointy.

Loreal's is on top
Maybelline's on bottom.

Lasting Effect - Maybellines turned charcoal - gray by the end of the day while Loreal's blackest black lasted all day and night!!

Price - Maybelline's $7.99 vs Loreal's $9.95 Obviously you would go for the cheaper one but just for a buck more goes a long way.

The winner here is no contest - Loreal's 24hr Gel liner.

My everyday neutral palette

Recently purchased Sonia kashuk's Neutral eyeshadow palette. Sonia, you did it again! I absolutely love that there are no shimmery, glittery colors, all neutral! There are 12 cool toned, cream ,Matte browns, and taupe perfect for fall!

I first heard about this palette from Youtube guru ItsJudytime! This palette has been sold out many times at my local Target but I finally got my hands on them!

Here are a couple of the swatches, I swatched the 3rd row down and last one is the blue color.

Finally found out there was a little section with some makeup idea cards, haha I am such a dork.

It's priced at $19.99 which is slightly above drugstore prices. The colors are very easy to blend, plus Pigmented

Favorite BB Cream

BB cream which stands for blemish balm originated from Germany. It was made to help patient with skin surgery, it became extremely popular in Asia especially in Korea. I tried some korean BB cream products in the past but to my dismay, it broke my skin out.

Now it's in America all over our drugstores, Revlon, Maybeline, Loreal, and many more popular brands have caught on. My favorite right now is Loreal's Magic Skin Beautifier BB cream. It feels like a tinted moisturizer for me and it's not heavy like most foundations. It left my face matte which gives you a natural look. Loreal's Magic BB cream is perfect for me because I have little to no blemishes. I also have dry to combination skin.

Price$7.99

Loreal's BB cream features:

Primes to smooth skin texture
Perfects to hide imperfections
Hydrates for all day moisture
corrects skin for healthy looking even combination

Brushes won't work with this product since you need to 'activate' the color pigment beads through application. If you are extremely rough and quick with application of creams and liquids then this product will feel harsh however with gentle circular motions, it melts the BB cream into the skin and you barely notice the "beads".

The Verdict?

Pros
Blends Well
Easy To Apply
Affordable
Easy To Take-off
Good Pigmentation
Lightweight
Long Lasting
Natural Looking
Smooth

Cons

Sheer
Less coverage
